Our state-of-the-art facilities in Bryn, near Ashton-in-Makerfield, and Golborne offer comprehensive veterinary services. In 2019, we relocated to a purpose-built passivhaus veterinary centre, reflecting our dedication to continuous improvement.
Role overview
As a Practice Manager, your pivotal role involves supporting the Clinical Director in practice management and business development. You will foster a culture of excellence, ensuring outstanding teamwork and a consistently high standard of customer care. With a focus on effective support functions, including maintenance, health and safety, and finance, you will set the standard for professional conduct and encourage team involvement. Collaborating closely with the area support team and head office, you will ensure seamless communication, coordination, and adherence to group protocols and industry regulations. This position offers a 36-hour workweek over four days, with no weekends or out-of-hours commitments.
A bit about us
Our team consists of four veterinary surgeons, five registered veterinary nurses, one student nurse, one veterinary care assistant, and three receptionists, fostering a family atmosphere within our practice. Conveniently located between Manchester and Liverpool, our practices provide easy access to both vibrant city centres and nearby countryside amenities, including Haigh Hall country park and Rivington Pike. For those seeking outdoor adventures, the Peak and Lake Districts are easily accessible.
What we’re looking for
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Practice Manager with a background in veterinary settings. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of practice management, requiring proficiency in finance, payroll, and health and safety. Essential leadership skills are necessary for coaching and motivating the team, conducting staff appraisals, organising practice meetings, and facilitating training. Proficiency in practice management systems, including scheduling, diary management, Outlook, and Power BI, is crucial for success in this role.
